You get disappointed, when you set your heart strongly in things which can fail. Do not trust in the promises of men, it may fail due to one reason or the other. 'Hope deferred makes the heart sick'

Do not cause too much  damage to your heart by hoping in desires that may fail. Set your heart on things that cannot fail. Let the word of God be the strong foundation for what you hoped for. Stand on the rock that cannot fail. Hope in the promises of God for your life and not in that of men.

Avoid making your heart sick all the time by not trusting the world's sweetest frame but only lean on Jesus name. Desire what God has in plan for you, not just your selfish ambitions. Your personal ambition may tend to fail and get your heart seriously devastated but when you align yourself with God's plan for your life, it comes to fruition. Such, desire that comes to pass is a tree of life. It produces life and maximum satisfaction.
