*#CALL TO PRAYER*

 _2 Chronicles  7:13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;  7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land._

 *#CALL TO PRAYER*

The greatest need of the hour is prayer. Thank God for the heroes of faith who have laboured so much in prayer for the church and the nations. It is our turn to bend our kneels before God and pray earnestly.

It was said of James the half-brother of Jesus, that he spent the latter years of his life praying for the churches that God was raising up. It was noted that when he was to be buried his kneels has become calloused, and resembled the kneel of a camel due to hour and hours of kneeling down to pray. He was known as 'Camel kneels'

You might have been praying but you can do better. Do not be discouraged, prayer is a very great asset a christian can have. There is an urgent need to step up our praying lifestyle. Some are still at the level of praying for themselves and family members alone. You need to upgrade to the level of intercession. It is the ministry of priesthood, which we received in Christ Jesus. He has made us the kingdom of kings and priests. You're a priest in the new testament. You need to stand in the gap between God and the people of the nations of the world.

I know that we are busy with quite numbers of activities but it is not an acceptable excuse before God. We can strategize on how to pray consistently and effectively. As we can all see the situation of things in the world. The area of our concern is prayer. You can change the situation of the world right from the corner of your room. God can change his mind from destroying a nation, if he can find a man that will breach the gap.

 _"Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them." (Psalms  106:23)_

 _"Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry: And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies." (Psalms  106:44-45)_

God would have destroyed the Israelites, had not Moses his chosen stood in the gap for them. The nations, especially our country Nigeria needs people who are called by the name of the Lord to rise up and pray for the healing of our land. There are issues of innocent killings and kidnapping which pollutes the land.

This is a call to prayer, will you join to pray wherever you are? Do not keep silent. Pray, pray, and pray until something happen.
