Psalms 37:8
_Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. 37:9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth._

Every, human being that is born of the flesh i.e water and blood has a nature of anger and it can manifest at any point in time. Some people have the natural ability to control their anger, while some doesn't find it easy to control it, whenever someone 'press the button' of anger in them.
The more you open up your spirit to anger, the more stronger it is and becomes a stronghold. Anger is terrible, it has no respect for anyone. It is only those who are walking always in the Spirit that can tame it through the fruit of the Spirit of self control.
It is a weapon of destruction. It destroys any life, home, team that gives it room to operate. It can hinder people from inheriting the promise of God, if given a foothold. Moses was the meekest man on earth at that time, but anger hindered him from entering into the promise land with the children of Israel.
The instruction of the Lord to us is to cease from anger and wrath. Everyone, has a tendency to get angry, especially when offences come. This provokes some people to the extent of cursing and committing murder. There are husbands who get mad at their wives for something very uncalled for and the end result is terrible. Anger can destroy what you have builded for years in minutes. Let's yield to the Lord's instruction today and cease from anger whenever we have the prompt to do so.

Lord Jesus, here I am. Deliver me from anger. I cease from getting easily offended and angry. I overcome the spirit of anger right now, in Jesus name. Amen!
