_17:11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul._

 *#Life in the Blood.*

The LORD spoke to Moses that he should speak to the children of Israel, that he has given the life of the flesh, which is in the blood to them upon the altar to make an atonement for their souls. There is no remission/forgiveness of sins without the shedding of blood. (Heb. 9:22).

It is the custom of the priest in the Old Testament to sprinkle the blood of each sacrifice made for the various offerings seven times upon the horns of the altar and then pour the rest of it at the bottom of the altar. It is blood that sanctifies and services an altar.

There is life in the blood. That's why people who lose too many blood in an accident dies quickly. The moment, there is no longer enough blood circulating in the body, the heart will stop working and that leads to death. The innocent bloods that wicked people sheds has the ability to cry out for vengeance, because life is in it. They were cut off in the midst of their lives.

The provision of the blood that God made in the new testament for the remission of sins was of a higher dimension and magnitude. It was the precious blood of His only begotten son Jesus Christ, that was made for the atonement of our souls.

_"Hebrews  10:4  For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins."_

The priests in the Old Testament, had to offer an atonement once every year both for his own sins and the sins of the congregation of the children of Israel. But, the son of God offered the perfect sacrifice for the atonement of the souls of the entire world by his blood. He offered the life in his blood as a ransom for our souls.

What the soul of a sinner deserved is death, as it is written 'the soul that sinneth shall die.' 'The wages of sin is death.' Instead of the death that we deserve, we were offered the precious gift of eternal life through his blood. He took upon himself the penalty for our sins, so that we can be discharged and acquainted from the charges laid against us by the accuser of the brethren.

The life in his blood took away all our sins and set us free from the captivity of the enemy of our souls. You can access the life in his blood by faith for your salvation, healing, and deliverance. A believer must know how to invoke the blood of Jesus Christ as a weapon of warfare in tough battles, because there is power and life in the blood.

#God bless you
