1 Timothy

_4:12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.  4:13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.  4:14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.  4:15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.  4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee._

Apostle Paul, knew the tendency for the young man Timothy to be despise as a result of his age factor, though he has a gift, which was given to him by prophecy and laying on of hands.

Listen carefully, the gifts of the Holy Spirit has no regard for age. You're not limited by age to manifest the gifts of the Holy Spirit. It's for both the young and old.

_"Joel  2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:  2:29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit."_

The above verse is a promise. Our sons and daughters are expected to prophecy, after the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Your children can experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit as soon as possible. The young men are expected to see vision. The servants and handmaids are not left out. The promise is for all flesh, no age limit. A child of 5years old can start speaking in new tongues, when the Spirit comes on him/her.

Today's concern is on the  youth. Let no man despise thy youth. Whatever, you will become in life begins from your youth. Those that recruit people into civil service especially in banks and some private organization, looks for youth to employ. They are interested in people who are between the age of 20-27, the moment you are crossing over to 30 years old, it will be difficult to get an opportunity to work in such places, if it's your vision or dream to do so.

If young people can be so energetic and dedicated to circular work, how much more spiritual work? 'The church is not pheripheral to the world, it is the world that is peripheral to the church.'

It's youth that is full of vision. Old age is for dreams, to reflect on what has happened in the youthful days. Don't let anyone silence you, because you are young. Recognize, the gift that is inside you and fan it to flame.

_'Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.'_

#God bless you
