1 Timothy
_2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth._

It is established that, God want all men to be saved. This can be achieved through our supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks for all men.
It's important that we pray for those that are ruling over us, such as the kings, governors, presidents, pastors and bosses at work. etc. That's the way we can lead a quiet peaceable life. The strategy to sustain peace in a nation is prayer. If we don't pray, don't be surprise when you see war.
The enemy doesn't want peace for the nations. Those that are in authority matters a lot in nation building. If we have leaders that doesn't have good heart for the people, it will affect the progress of the entire country. The decisions that governments make each day, affects you directly or indirectly, and it can be either positively or negatively.
There is something we can do to make the desire changes in our secret places. You may not be able to talk to those in authority directly but you know the one who has the key to their hearts and his able to direct it to wherever he pleases him. There are demonic manipulations, that doesn't want those in power to rule us well. We must contend with such forces, through our prayers.
We shouldn't keep silence with all the things that are happening around the world. It is getting more terrible and the people are becoming helpless from the grip of oppression. It is time to arise and pray earnestly for the salvation of all men.

Thank you Heavenly Father, for all our leaders in authority. We pray that you'll grant them wisdom to lead us aright in all godliness and honesty. Put your fear in their hearts, to govern your people according to your divine will and purpose, in Jesus name. Amen!
