_6:12 And the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out: and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order upon it; and he shall burn thereon the fat of the peace offerings. 6:13 The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out._
*#The Fire Upon the Altar.*
There is an invisible fire, which is expected to be upon the altar of a believer and we must ensure that we keep the fire burning upon the altar. There are many dangers for an altar without fire.
They have a corporate altar in the Old Testament, which is serviced by the priests and they were instructed to keep the fire upon the altar, that it shall not be put out. The priest would burn wood on it every morning and laid burnt offering in order upon it.
Every, believer in Christ Jesus, have been made a royal priesthood in the new testament to offer spiritual sacrifices upon the spiritual altar.
_1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ_ .
Sacrifices are made upon an altar. A spiritual altar exist in every believer, upon which there must be a fire that is ever burning, that was why apostle Peter said, 'ye also as lively stones are built up a spiritual house.' You're a spiritual house, don't toil with that temple. Keep it holy for the Lord to inhabit and service the altar with the fire of the Holy Ghost always.
There is a deposit of the fire of the Holy Spirit, when you become baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. (Acts 1:8). Praying consistently in the Holy Ghost will keep the fire burning.

The fire upon the altar is essential to survive, as a christian in this world. A fireless christian cannot thrive in the midst of this corrupt generation. It is the fire of the Holy Ghost, that can keep you pure always. The fire purifies your altar, so that your spiritual sacrifices can be acceptable unto God.
