2 Timothy
_2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth._
*#Study to Show Yourself Approved unto God.*
This is a call to a personal consistent quite time with God. You are not to study to show yourself approved unto men but unto God. It is not until you want to teach bible in Sunday school or bible class that you begin to study, looking for concordance and dictionary to check for big grammars, so that you can be approved as a good teacher by those you are teaching.
You first of all study, to become who God ordained you to be, before extending that life to others. Ministry is an extension of the word or life personified.
_Acts 1:1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,_
Our Lord Jesus Christ is a perfect example. He first practice what he teaches. I.e He first study to become what he teaches. Hypocrisy is when you teach what you are not. Christianity is a life style, we must practice what we profess to be. We are an epistle to the world, which is written not with ink, but by the Spirit of the living God.
_"2 Corinthians 3:2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart."_
You become approved unto God, when you study to please God with your life. Then, you now become a workman that needed not to be ashamed. You will not be confidently teaching a bible class, where the sister that you are commiting immorality with is sitted and she is laughing at you. This is the extent, which some have make mockery of the gospel, a Pastor will be preaching while his girl friend is in the congregation.
We cannot rightly divide the word of truth, if we do not study. Some people are led astray by all manners of waves of doctrine, that are not rooted in the scriptures. We should no longer be children being tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine by the sleight of men and cunning craftiness, where by they lie in wait to deceive.(Eph. 4:14)

Thank you Father, for the eyes opening from your word. I pray that as I begin a life of study, my life shall be transformed to the image and likeness of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in His precious name I pray. Amen!
