2 Timothy
_1:5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. 1:6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind._
*#Stir Up the Gift of God.*
There was a transfer of unfeigned faith to Timothy. It all began from his grandmother Lois, then to his mother Eunice and Paul was persuaded that, it is also in Timothy. It was a continually chain, passing from one generation to another. What our forefathers and mothers passed to us directly or indirectly, matters a lot in our lives.
If, what was passed to you is not something good, you can change the system by connecting to the bloodline of Jesus. Then, a fresh generation that will know the Lord can began from you and continue as you pass on the unfeigned faith that you have received.
The unfeigned faith inside of you, comes with a gift of God by the laying on of hands, which you must stir up, so that it can be effective. Paul put Timothy in remembrance of the gift of God, that was inside of him and instructed him to stir it up. Some of us, have a great gift of God lying dormant inside of us, because we don't stir it up. We are shy and timid to give it an expression. It cannot be useful, if it is not activated.
You have not received the spirit of fear. The Spirit of God inside of you is of power, love and sound mind. Don't be afraid that the gift inside of you may fail. Power it, with the unfeigned faith that you have inside of you, and see the manifestation of the glory of God. If you have the gift of healing, stir it up and be confident to pray for the sick and expect that they will get healed. If you perceive that you have the gift of working of miracles, go to the streets and fields to demonstrate it. Signs and wonders shall follow them that believe. (Mark 16:17)
