1 Timothy

_3:14 These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:  3:15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.  3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory._

 *#THE MYSTERY OF GODLINESS*

The mystery of godliness is the manifestation of God in the flesh. The Word of God became flesh and dwell among us. The Word himself was God, one of the Trinity.

_"John  1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.  1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."_

" _John  1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth._"

The Word had to be made flesh for godliness to be possible for those of us in the earth, who has fallen under sin. It is the will of God for man to be godly, because we were made in His image and likeness. But, the moment sin came in through Adam and eve, man fall short of the glory of God and could no longer bear his presence in that sinful condition. The mind became corrupt through the influence of evil thoughts. They now have the knowledge of good and evil, which was the beginning of the strive with sin and wickedness.

Man was shut out of the fullness of God's presence after the fall, and later in the Old Testament, God decided to open a limited access for His chosen people, the Israelites by the establishment of the temple, which cannot be measured with the full range of access that man has once enjoyed in the garden of Eden. It was as if man was locked outside and can only commune with God through the key hole.

The high priest enters the most holy place once every year to offer sacrifice for himself and for the error of the people. (Heb. 9:7) On the day of atonement which is the closet day of man to God's presence in the most holy place, there is a cloud of incense that covers the mercy seat to separate the man from God's presence, so that he would not die. (Lev. 16:13)

God deals with man this way, all because of the destructive presence of sin. He is a Holy God trying to relate with a sinful fallen man. But, He had an ultimate plan to redeem man back to himself, through the sacrifice of His only begotten son Jesus Christ, once and for all.

Jesus is the mystery of godliness revealed unto men. The moment that he gave up the ghost on the cross, the veil of the temple torn apart into two from top to the bottom. The door of unrestricted access to the pressence of God became open to everyone who believe in the salvation of Jesus. The earth shook, the rock rent and there was an earthquake like has never happened before. (Matt. 27:51) All power in heaven and earth was delivered unto Jesus to become an author of eternal salvation to them that obey him. (Matt.28:18, Heb. 5:9)

We are with the hope that one day the fullness of God's presence that man once enjoyed will be restored, and the Almighty God will have his dwelling among his people forever.

_"Revelation  21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.  21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.  21:24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it."_

#God bless you
