BEARING THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

📖Text: Galatians 5:22-23

 

 _" But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."_ 

🔖 BEARING THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT 

A tree is identify by it fruit. The scripture says a good tree cannot bear bad fruit neither can a corrupt tree bear good fruit. It simply means that the nature of a tree will determine the kind of fruit that it produces.

The clear evidence of the new birth is bearing the fruit of the Spirit. It's not something that a believer struggles to manifest. If, you are genuinely born again this fruit is expected to start reflecting through your character and relationship with others around you.

It's a signal that something is wrong somewhere, when we fail to bear the fruit of the spirit in our lives. Your life may need spiritual pruning. There are things that would have to be taking out for the fruit of the Spirit to take it place.  If, the old man still live there inside of you, it will choke the fruit of the Spirit. You may have to allow the Holy Spirit to purge you from the flesh and it desires. The old man would have to die and the new life spring forth. God is pleased when we grow and start bearing the fruit of the Spirit.

Thank you eternal Father, for the fruit and gifts of the Spirit. Prune my heart and make it bear the fruit of the Spirit to the glory of your name. Amen!
