♐ *Overcoming Temptation for false Power and Glory*

_'And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. (Luke 4:13)._

The devil had tempted Jesus by taking him to a high mountain and shewed him all the kingdom of the world in a moment of time. 'And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.' (Luke 4:6)
Satan tempted Jesus to worship him, for false glory and power. 'If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. (Luke 4:7-8). Our Lord Jesus Christ rejected Satan's offer for false glory and power and pointed to the fact all beings are to worship and serve the Lord their God. 'Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.' Only the Lord God deserves our worship.
The devil had to leave Him alone for a season, after all the temptation were ended. Then, Jesus returned in the power of the Holy Spirit. The power of God increases in our lives, as we yield ourselves to obey God and not fall into temptation. The fame of Jesus, then spread throughout the region. The glory of God manifested in His life and He was glorified of all, as He taught in their synagogue.

Thank you Father, for your amazing love and grace. Please, help me not to fall into temptation for false power and glory, in Jesus name. Amen!
