 _"And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. (Mark 12:29-30)._

 *The First Commandment*

The LORD God is above all and should be our top most priority. We cannot exist without Him. Nothing else must take the rightful place of God in our lives. We are made for His pleasure. 'Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. (Revelation  4:11). There's no fulfillment of the purpose why He made us, if we do not live to please Him but ourselves.

It is quite unfortunate that, quite numbers of things has taken the love that the Creator deserved from the creature. We give our deep affection of love to mere things and even worship men rather than the creator. It is until the love of God possess our reins, that we can live up to the fulfillment of God's purpose for our lives in this world.

The Lord our God is one Lord and Him alone deserved the totality of our love. The first commandment, which is also the greatest of all the commandments is that we shall love the Lord our God with the whole of our hearts, soul, mind, and strength.

Thank you Lord for your first love. I'm grateful for your unconditional love. I pray that, You help me to love You with all my heart and being, in Jesus name. Amen!
