Romans  5:10 

 _"For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.  5:11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement."_

 *Assurance of Salvation*

The gospel provides the hope of salvation through Christ Jesus. Christians should not live with the hope of uncertainty. 'For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.' (Romans  10:11). If a man is genuinely saved, he should not be afraid of the future, because Jesus the Saviour holds the future. We can face tomorrow, because He lives. All fears is gone, because He lives.  

God reached out His love to us, when we were enemies and reconciled us through the death of His Son. 'But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.' (Rom. 5:8). The love of God towards sinners is unconditionally. We were not saved by any works of righteousness, which we have done. The love and righteousness of Christ found us, (while we were wallowing in sin) and transformed us into a new man. For, 'we cannot continue in sin, that grace may abound.'

The finished work of Christ on the cross gives us assurance of salvation, if we abide in the faith unmoved. The scripture assured us that, much more being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. We should be joyful in God, through our Lord Jesus Christ by whom we have now received atonement. 'To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.' (2 Cor. 5:19). There's hope and assurance of salvation in Christ, be not deceived.
