_"Pardon, I beseech thee, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of thy mercy, and as thou hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now. 14:20 And the LORD said, I have pardoned according to thy word:"_

*The Great Mercy and Forgiveness of God*

Moses was a great intercessor for the children of Israel. He stood in the gap many times to beseech God on their behalf and made the wrath of God to pass over and not consume them. He was speaking in the above verse to intercede and ask for forgiveness for the people.
He pleaded with God to pardon the iniquity of this people, according to the greatness of God's mercy and His consistent compassion to forgive them from Egypt until now. It was according to the great mercy and forgiveness of God, that the children of Israel were not consumed. "It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23).
It is such a time as this, that the nations need the great mercy and forgiveness of God for all the evil and wickedness that have been done in the land. There are lots of abominable things happening around the world, which kindles the fire of the wrath of God. It is time to turn our hearts to God and seek His face.
You can be an intercessor like Moses to stand in the gap for your family, church and nation. There is power in the prayer of intercession. The Lord pardoned this people, according to the word of Moses. 'The prayer of a righteous man avails much.' We can obtain the mercy and forgiveness of God for the dying world.

Thank you Abba Father, for your great love, mercy, and compassion. I beseech you according to your great mercy and compassion to forgive. Please, pardon our sins and heal our land, in Jesus mighty name. Amen!
