Titus  3:3 

 _"For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.  3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,  3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;  3:6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;  3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."_ 

 *#He Saved us, According to His Mercy* 

It's good to sometimes reflect on the past to see how far you have come in the faith, through the unfailing mercies of God.  We were sometimes ago foolish in decision making, deceived, disobedient, serving divers lusts; lust of the eyes and lusts of the flesh and pleasures. We once lived in malice, envy, jealousy, bitterness, and hateful, hating one another. We were once blinded with the works of the flesh. 

But, now after that the kindness and love of God our saviour appeared, he saved us according to His mercy. We were not saved by the works of righteousness, which we have done. It was the great work of mercy. The mercy that we obtained was the centrality of our transformation. We are absolutely nothing without mercy. It's easier to change your bad ways of life, when you encounter the great mercy of God. 

He saved us, by the washing of rebirth, we became born again. He doesn't try to patch our old life, He gave us a brand new life and eternal hope. The second  great virtue that mercy brought to us, is the renewal of the Holy Spirit, which He shed on us abundantly through our saviour Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit became the power house of divine transformation. He works in us daily and tirelessly to see us come to the fullness of the image of Christ.

We are being justified by His grace, that we should be made heirs of God in Christ Jesus, according to the hope of eternal life. 'In Him we have redemption and forgiveness of sins.' This is the true gospel that everyone should believe and be saved.

I'm grateful Lord for great is your loving-kindness and mercy towards me. Open my eyes and grant me spiritual understanding of your mercy, that I may daily live in the confine of your abundant mercies and grace, in Jesus mighty name. Amen!
