 _But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:  2:10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy._

 *#The Purpose of being a Chosen Generation* 

Believers are chosen out of the world to become a royal priesthood, a holy nation and a peculiar people on the earth. Christians are a new creature species on the surface of the earth. (2Cor. 5:17). 'Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.' (John  1:13). 

Believers in Christ Jesus are a chosen generation and a holy nation by the will of God. Chosen 'to show forth the praises of Him who has called us out of darkness into His marvellous light.' Therefore, we are also a praise generation. We have to fulfill the purpose of being a chosen generation by showing forth the glorious praise of God at all times. 

Your mouth should never be shut in rendering quality praises to God. No matter what you are going through, praise Him. His praises should continually be in our mouths. There's nothing as great as the new identity that we have in Christ Jesus. The abundance of things that you possess doesn't define who you are, you are whom He says you are. A people of God, who have obtained mercy. Hallelujah!!!
