๐Text: Jonah 2:2
"He said: “In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me. From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and you listened to my cry."
๐Your Response to Distress
Distress is an aversive state of severe physical or mental pain, anxiety, or sorrow, often characterized by an inability to adapt to difficult situations. The world that we live tends to present difficult situations, which causes distress. It's quite important to know, how to respond to the situations and not become helpless, when the issues arises.
The Lord is not far away from us during difficult times, though sometimes it looks as if He is far away and doesn't hear us. But, from the verse above, we can be encouraged by the word of God and understand that the Lord His very close to us in our distress, than we could have ever imagined. Our eyes must be fixed on Jesus, irrespective of whatever situations that comes our way.
Some people keeps silent, when they are in distress and their faith begins to sink, because they assumed it's something they can actually manage or handle by their own human wisdom. Your response to distress is calling upon the Lord, swiftly without any delay. Raise up a cry to the Lord in midst of the deep waters. Don't wait until you are completely drowned.
The Lord will hear you, even as Jonah was heard. There's no situation that's so bad, which Jesus cannot step into and completely turn around. Your situation cannot be the worst ever case that the Lord would change. Be not silent in your distress, Jesus knows about all your struggles and He's only waiting to hear your voice calling upon Him for help in the place of prayer.
๐๐พ PRAYER
Thank you Lord for always hearing me, when I call. I present my case before you LORD, please intervene oh Lord and change my story to a great and wonderful testimonies in Jesus name. Amen!
