Hebrews  9:15 

 _"And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.  9:16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator."_

The Lord Jesus Christ, became the mediator of the new covenant by the means of death, 'for where a testament is, there must also of a necessity be the death of the testator.'

Jesus Christ have been emphasizing about His death and resurrection to the disciples, prior to the reality of the event that later took place. "From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day." (Matthew  16:21).

It was for the redemption of the transgressions, that were under the first testament that the son of God had to die and become a 'surety' for those who are called in the new testament to obtain the promise of eternal inheritance. Our faith would have been in vain, if Christ was not raised up from the grave. But, glory to God, our Lord and Savior is alive forever. They that hope in His salvation will not be put to shame.

Thank you Lord Jesus, for the great sacrifice of your life for the redemption of the world. May this great sacrifice speak better things for my life, family, church, and nation, in Jesus mighty name. Amen!
