 _'Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.'_ 

 *#The Origin of the Old Time Prophecy.* 

The first thing to grab is that, no prophecy of the scriptures is birth by any private interpretation. The prophets of old delivered the words with integrity, it had not the source from human will. They did not try to make it suit their own will nor the will of the people to whom they delivered it to in their days. 

Some prophecies were beyond their days. They inquired and searched diligently about the grace they prophesied that should come. (1Peter 1:10). 'Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. 'Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. (1 Peter 1:11-12)

Prophecy didn't come in the old time by the will of man, but holy ministers of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. Prophecy is a move of the Holy Spirit, it cannot be manipulated by man. It has it origin from God and it is a birth of the plans and move of God from heaven above. It is difficult to be altered by man. 

Many of the things, that you see happening in the world today are fulfillment of prophecies, whether you believe it or not. They have been prophesied long time ago and even confirmed by present holy men of God in our generation. Many more prophecies will unfold in these last days. We need consistent prayers for God to make the days ahead favourable to the church. Let no man deceive you with fake prophecies, we have also a more sure word of prophecy;... (2Peter 1:19).
