_For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual._
*#Understanding the Things of the Spirit*
Man is made up of spirit, soul, and body. The spirit of man is in the inward part and knows all things about the individual. He knows what other people do not know about you. In the same manner, no man knows the things of God except the Spirit which dwells with the Father. He knows all things about the Father and will not tell you anything contrary to the will of God. It is always in agreement with the word of God.
The Holy Spirit is not of the world, it comes from the Father above. It is different from the natural spirit that man is composed of. When a man dies, it is the spirit of the man that departs from him, while the body is laid to rest and the soul await judgement. What a man does, while in the body matters a lot. When you receive the Holy Spirit, it comes to take control of your life.
Your natural spirit which is the real you need to be in harmony with the Holy Spirit to avoid spiritual tussle and conflict. You need to allow the influence of the Holy Spirit in your thoughts, will, and emotions, which are the control room of your life. The mind controls the entire body. It is the center of decision making. The Holy Spirit has come to help you and you just have to allow his operations.
The Holy Spirit is given to believers, that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. The natural cannot comprehend the spiritual. The Holy Spirit aligns your heart with spiritual things. It's quite unfortunate, if you dwell too much in the natural. You will only be move by what you see and not by faith.
The word of God is spiritually coded and it's best taught by the Holy Spirit. You can't just interpret the scriptures literally. 'Letter killeth but the Spirit gives life.' The Lord said to the disciples that 'the Spirit will guide them into all truth.' It is the Spirit of truth. It is the Holy Spirit that gives spiritual understanding.
