_But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth._
*#You Shall Receive Power*
The people of the world seeks for power when embarking on a particular assignment. They are empowered to do wickedness. But, in Christ Jesus, you are empowered to do good works.
Jesus promised power to the disciples following the baptism of the Holy Ghost. He is quite aware of the contentions that may arise from the powers of darkness to oppose the gospel. Therefore, for effective witnessing according to that which he commanded them to do. He gave them a promise, that they 'shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost come upon them' and thereafter begin the work of the world evangelization.
He is not sending anyone in their own physical strength and power. There are sufficient resources kept to equip men for his work. It is a promise and you have to look forward to receive it. The promise is valid for every Christian today, in as much you are having spiritual growth in Christ. You can't be truly baptized in the Holy Ghost and not have a push to evangelize.
The fullness of the Holy Ghost is the wheel that drives the gospel with the force of power. One of the evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost is that you become passionate for the lost souls. The Holy Ghost will engage you in the same work that Christ do. It is through him that greater works can be done, which Jesus said we shall do.

Dear Heavenly Father, fill me with your Spirit and power to do exploits for my Lord Jesus Christ, as long as I am in this world, in His mighty name I pray. Amen!
